Yesterday was a sunny 72 degrees in St. Augustine Beach, FL. We decided to walk and get our lunch. The place we were targeting was Obi’s Filling Station http://obisfillinstation.com/ a place we had lunch the first full day we were here.
Not only is the food delicious, the place a really fun to look at with all of its retro gas station memorabilia.
The menu is pretty extensive for breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus they have a kids menu. Items on the menu include The Mustang, The Corvette, The GTO, The Woody and what I ordered The Pinto (a burger topped with a fried onion ring, smoked applewood bacon, Obi’s hickory BBQ sauce on a potato bun with homemade french fries). Curt had The Malibu which was a burger with American Cheese, Obi sauce on a potato bun and homemade potato chips.
They were both excellent!
Even the bathroom had car parts for decor.
The price for lunch wasn’t bad, $20 which included a diet coke and unsweetened tea with free refills.
There are also televisions playing car programs for folks to enjoy while waiting for lunch and I found, while sitting at my seat this goat made out of oil cans standing in the corner.
Our walk was well worth the lunch we ate. I’m not sure Curt will recover though…
Sounds like fun!!!😁
