A good dinner at a fun place

Last night after being cooped up in the house all day, we ventured 5 miles down the road to Redfrog & McToad’s http://redfrogandmctoads.com.

It is a visually fun place to be in, very busy but we were seated immediately. The menu is so extensive that it was hard to focus on just one thing. Since I had tried the Lobster Mac-n-cheese else where (at $23.00 for the entry), I decided I would try their Lobster and Shrimp Mac-n-cheese  served with garlic butter toast points ($13.99). It was good, I picked out all of the lobster and shrimp, ate the toast points and left the pasta that was very overcooked. Curt has his usual Shrimp basket (8 pc. for $13.99) that came with fries, coleslaw (which he declined and ordered black beans and rice). The waitress brought the coleslaw but forgot the black beans and rice. When she brought out the forgotten food they had chopped tomatoes and onions on top – not a favorite. He said the shrimp with good and then realized there were also 3 Hushpuppies in the basket. His comment was they were okay.

Monday is trivia night, we didn’t officially play but sat there answering the questions between ourselves. Curt is good – we should go back and really play.

I bought a tee shirt ($21.30) because it was fun and went home. We will be going back soon!
